During the import wizard, the umber of contacts and companies that Hatchbuck found as a match to an existing record in your account will be displayed. The contact number will be based on the match method you have chosen which is either 'Email' OR 'Email and Full Name.' When importing existing contacts or companies, some data is appended to the existing record and some will be overwritten.  


Contact data that is overwritten:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Title
  • Status
  • Website
  • Sales Rep
  • Custom Fields


Contact data that is appended or added as additional information to the record:

  • Email Addresses
  • Phone Numbers
  • Street Addresses (including city, state, zip code, and country)
  • Events
  • Tags


Company data that is overwritten:

  • Status
  • Website
  • Sales Rep
  • Custom Fields
