General: 
  • Navigate to the Tools tab at the top of the page, click Campaigns and then click on the +New Campaign button at the top right corner of the page.
  • Name and Describe your Campaign [this is for internal users only]


  • Event Based: select yes if your campaign runs around a specific date and time. Ex: birthdays, renewal dates, webinars, conferences & trade shows. (see additional instructions below)
  • Lock your campaign if you don't want other users [besides admins] to be able to make changes to your campaign
  • The Folder option is there for you to keep your campaigns organized


Adding Automations to your Campaign: Nurturing (non-event based)


  •  Click on + New Automation



  • Select the automations you'd like to apply: 




  • You can choose which day you would like this step to occur (Ex: Day 1, Day 14, Day 21, Day 30)
  • You can also use advanced timers to skip weekends or run the step at a particular time in the user or contacts time zone


  • After you add a step you can both edit or delete it by clicking on the pencil-shaped buttons at the far right of the step’s line.
  • You can drag and drop campaign steps to switch up your order!
  • Add additional steps by clicking + New Automation or any + icons above or below current steps






Adding Automations to your Campaign: Event Based 
  • You can choose how many days OR hours before OR after the event you'd like your automations to be triggered (Ex: 14 Days Before, 7 Days Before, 24 Hours Before)




  • After you add a step you can both edit or delete it by clicking on the pencil-shaped buttons at the far right of the step’s line.
  • You can drag and drop campaign steps to switch up your order!
  • Add additional steps by clicking + New Automation or any + icons above or below current steps

Finishing up

  • When you have added all your steps, click the Finish button at the top right hand side of the Setup Campaign Steps page 





  • If you want to change or edit your Campaign, you can always edit your Campaigns by clicking Tools, then Campaigns, and then clicking on the Campaign you want to edit!
*Note: You cannot change Campaign Dates once the campaign has already started. You also cannot change steps of a campaign if there are contacts scheduled for that step


To start contacts on your new Campaign: 
  • Filter within your Contacts tab and select all or some of your contacts for your campaign by checking the boxes near the contacts. Using the Actions dropdown select "start campaign" 
  • For an individual contact, select "Start Campaign" from their contact record
  • Add this as an automation to an Online form, link click, or create a tag rule. 


For Event Based Campaigns: 
  • From Contacts View: Filter for and select your list of contacts who you would like to invite from the Contact List View. Then, select the Actions drop-down and choose Add Contacts to Event
  • For a Single Contact: Navigate to the Contact's Record and select the Events Tab. Then, select +New Event
